Monthly Challenge April 2014 # Reveal Day#

Welcome to my reveal day for Monthly Challenge April 2014.
The inspiration picture for this month is  this beautiful and colorful painting by Edward Foster

GAIA
by Edward Foster

This month we celebrated Earth Day on April 22nd. My dear friend Lili Krist who is holding this challenge every month held a fundraising by selling some beads in her online shop to make a donation for http://www.polarbearsinternational.org/. Anyway lets back to this challenge, if you want to know more about this challenge you can read about this challenge here .

After I saw this GAIA picture, I started with made the focal beads using some colors in the picture like orange, blue, brown and green.
So here they are :

I was also working on a custom order for my favourite customer. She wanted a pendant using soft orange colors and colorful flowers. And this challenge color pallete fits this order perfectly.:-D
Here it is the pendant for my customer.

I used Czech seed beads to bezel my Polymer clay Cabochon and added rope leather for the necklace. My Customer was so happy with the result of her ordered. And she gave extra money for this pendant. Can you believe this ??!! It's never happened to me before, a customer paid more money than I asked her.
I still felling very proud and happy until today, somebody loves my jewelry like that. Just blown me away.

A couple days ago I made another Cabochon, and I thought about this challenge, and I decided to make another jewelry for this challenge. Here it is the second jewelry I have made for this challenge.

I think the second jewelry would fit better to the challenge. What do you think??/

For another participant please visit here, I couldn't wait to see another participants creation.
Have a wonderful day everyone...

"Free Spirits of the Wild West" - 12th blogger/non-blogger Bead soup challenge

The Challenge.

Wild Mustangs of sand wash basin

It is time for the 12th blogger/non-blogger challenge in bead soup cafe. This time Kelly Hosford Patterson who won the 11th blogger/non-blogger challenge is hosting this challenge. She choose that picture above as our inspiration. She also wrote thorough explanation why she choose this picture in here .

My creation.

I had a little bit of difficulty to make the focal beads, as some of you already knew that I like to use my own focal beads for my jewelry. I started with making this cabochon. I used my beads reamer to draw in my polymer clay. It wasn't easy because that was my first time drew in in Polymer clay. :-D
I hope this focal beads looks like a horse LOL

Here it is my finished necklace.
Materials:

  • Polymer clay cabochon (handmade by me)
  • Soutache braids
  • Seed beads 11/0
  • Seed beads 6/0
  • Six round polymer clay beads ( handmade by me)
  • Two tube  polymer clay beads ( handmade by me)
  • Some flat disc polymer clay beads ( handmade by me)
  • Cooper wire

The Color of Dreams Blog Hop * Reveal day*

The Color of Dreams Blog Hop

Welcome to the reveal day of "The Color of Dreams Blog Hop" !!.

For you who don't know about this blog hop event please visit here first, Rita who created this event and wrote about this blog hop nicely, I love her writing. And I also love her kindness of sharing beautiful and unique beads with all of us,50 participants. She wants everyone creating a jewelry to show or to represents our dream. We need to focus on one rule "If we can dream it, we can achieve it".

The bead in the middle is the bead that Rita sent to me, handmade by Patricia Handschuh, and each of participants got different kind of beads.

My beads.

After I got my beads, I decided to make some polymer clay beads to accompany this beautiful beads. I used   the beads from Patricia as an inspiration beads.
I started with making this leaf beads.

After that I also made these round beads with my left over leaf canes.

Last but not least I made this focal beads.

My dreams.

I have been making handmade jewelry for about three years and I always want to open a store to sell my handmade jewelry some day. I am thinking about a small store or boutique to display all of my handmade jewelry and also to display my mother works ( she is a seamstress). I think it would be a great idea, what do you think?
I have no idea when this dreams become reality, our family always moving from one country to another country. My husband is visiting professor in University of Notre Dame, Indiana and in about two months our family is going to move to another country. I guess I have to keep on dreaming until some day our family can settled down in one country ( hopefully my home country Indonesia) and I can open my handmade jewelry store.

My Jewelry.

Using Patricia bead and also my handmade beads I made this necklace.
